Cities in the Puget Sound Region are facing many challenges. In addition to accommodating future growth, cities must deal with climate change, transportation, health, economic vitality and providing a variety of housing choices. Cities also need to provide amenities like parks and cultural opportunities along with infrastructure to accommodate this growth in a way that makes them attractive and livable.
In recognition of the need to conserve our lands and create great cities, the Cascade Land Conservancy launched the Cascade Agenda Cities Program. The program is designed to provide additional resources to help create communities that are complete, compact and connected.
